We’ve redesigned our dashboards, and added a grouping feature to make our TV dashboards the simplest, clearest way to share key numbers with your team. Oh, and we’ve rebranded too.

It was one of my new year’s resolutions to avoid the words “data-driven” or “big data,” as by now everyone is justifiably sick of them! You and most other businesses know that data is essential for making informed decisions, and have a plethora of tools for collecting and analyzing it.

In 2020, collecting and analyzing data is no longer the problem for companies. The real challenge is clearly communicating key data to the people who can make a difference: teams.

All too often, useful data is left languishing in a spreadsheet, a complicated tool that a select few has access to, or a report that’s irrelevant by the time it gets read. At best, this means that companies are wasting opportunities to unlock growth. At worst, seeing the wrong numbers (or no numbers at all) can cause teams to lose focus, waste their time on things that have little impact, or make poor decisions based on gut feelings alone.

I want teams like yours to have the power to access their data, so they can unlock its potential and achieve their goals. It’s a vision we’ve been working on since Geckoboard launched in 2010. And today I’m delighted to announce the biggest set of changes to our product and brand in a decade. Changes that focus on one thing: getting your business’ most important metrics seen.

With the new Geckoboard, it’s easier than ever to display key data on highly-visible dashboards around your office, so you and your team can monitor the metrics and goals you care about – at a glance.

The major product changes you’ll see from today include:

Grouping functionality – this lets you group metrics to make the relationships between them immediately obvious, and to use dashboard space more efficiently

Redesigned visualizations – cleaner, and simpler than ever, these make your data easy to understand from a distance

Redesigned dashboards – we’ve rolled out a fresh, modern redesign of our dashboards to improve legibility and make them extra engaging for your team

We also took the opportunity to update our brand, to bring it into the 2020s and reflect the cleaner, bolder aesthetic of our new dashboards. The whole aim is to make Geckoboard simpler and more impactful, and we hope you’ll love the new look as much as we do.

If you’re an existing customer, you’ll see these changes the next time you log in. Or, if you’re looking to unlock the potential of your data, and want to give Geckoboard a go, you can try it out for free. Our 30-day trial lets you build as many dashboards as you like, and we don’t ask for any payment details up front.

Finally, I’d like to thank you for all your support over the last 10 years. We’re incredibly excited to kick off 2020 with this major update to Geckoboard dashboards, and we have plenty more to share with you in the coming months.
