When we started Geckoboard, not only did we want to build a product customers love, we also wanted to create a company people actually want to work for. For us that means a place where we try our best, together, to build something genuinely useful.

How do we work?

At Geckoboard, we’re motivated by a desire to build innovative products and create five-star customer experiences. It’s a working environment built on trust, where passionate, talented, thoughtful people thrive.

We’re not a large, box-ticking organization that creates process for the sake of it. And we’re also not a hyper-growth startup working towards chaotic, unrealistic deadlines. Working for Geckoboard is simply about playing to all our different strengths and focusing on the areas that we know will make an impact.

Where do we work?

We’re a global team of 30+ people. Most people at Geckoboard choose to work remotely, however, we do have a small office in Shoreditch, London, for those who want a change of scenery or for when it’s useful to meet face to face.

Life first

We don’t talk much about work-life balance because we believe life, health and family come first. We never ask anyone to work overtime and we encourage everyone to fully disconnect from work when out-of-hours or on annual leave. Our leave policy is designed so you can take all the holiday you need (we see 25 days annual leave + bank holidays as the minimum). Some of us work part-time and everyone is free to work flexible hours to fit around their family and personal commitments. Plus, enhanced maternity, paternity and adoption policies are there to support you when your life changes.


Our everyday working style is underpinned by openness, teamwork, and a strong sense of community. The whole company meets up online once a month to share what each team is working on and understand how the business is performing overall. We also host regular socials online and in-person. This has included everything from guided meditation to cookery club, from cheese-tasting to life-drawing.


Growing as a business is as important to us as growing as individuals. Your development is guided by our progression frameworks, continuous feedback and regular one-to-ones with your team lead. You’re also equipped with your own development budget to spend however you choose.


You’re helping us grow, so we want to make sure you’re part of our business and our journey for the long term. We offer share options, review your salary annually, and will set you up with equipment of your choice so you can work at your best.


Innovation and experimentation are an important part of life at Geckoboard. Everyone can take lab days once a fortnight to work on their own projects.
