Before we were making decisions based on a feel, now we’re able to make informed decisions based on data.

At Periculo, Sales, Marketing, and project teams can see how the business is performing without waiting for a report.

That shared view has improved sales forecasting, made marketing ROI clearer, and helped the company run projects more efficiently. It’s also given the team more opportunities to recognize progress and respond when something needs attention.

Periculo provides cybersecurity services for digital health companies. As the business grew, Director of Operations Cory Vollbrecht wanted to give everyone a clear understanding of its performance.

Data is the cornerstone of everything we do here at Periculo

The information was already available, but it lived across the different platforms Periculo used. Each tool showed one part of the business, making it difficult to understand how Sales, Marketing, and project delivery were performing together.

Connecting performance across the business

Sales growth was a priority for Periculo, and its results were closely connected to Marketing.

Cory needed to understand the sales pipeline, the return generated by marketing campaigns, and how both were changing. He also wanted to see project management and website performance without manually compiling separate reports.

Geckoboard brings data from HubSpot, LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Jira into focused dashboards.

The dashboards are displayed on TVs around Periculo’s office and shared through scheduled Slack Snapshots. This puts the latest information in front of the team without asking people to search across several platforms.

Cory also uses the dashboards during management reviews. Instead of creating a new report for each meeting, he can bring up the relevant view and move the conversation straight to what’s happening and what the team should do next.

Improving sales forecasts and marketing decisions

Bringing sales and marketing performance together gives Periculo a clearer view of how demand is moving through the pipeline.

The team can see which activity is contributing to growth, understand how its campaigns are performing, and make better-informed decisions about where to focus.

Sales forecasts are grounded in a current view of the pipeline, while Marketing has a clearer picture of the return its work is generating.

Before we were making decisions based on a feel, now we’re able to make informed decisions based on data and Geckoboard has been a huge part of that.

Because the dashboards are updated throughout the day, changes don’t have to wait for a management meeting to become visible. The team can spot what needs attention and respond while there’s still time to affect the result.

Keeping projects on track

Periculo also uses Jira data in Geckoboard to keep project performance visible.

Cory and the team can see how work is progressing alongside the sales and marketing activity bringing new customers into the business. This gives Operations a more connected view of growth and delivery.

If tickets or requests begin to build up, people can see where support is needed. That helps the team keep work moving and protect the quality of service customers receive.

It also means commercial growth isn’t viewed in isolation. Periculo can understand what’s entering the pipeline and whether the business is ready to deliver it successfully.

Bringing energy to performance

Making the numbers visible has changed how the team engages with them.

People can see how the company is growing and recognize the contribution they’re making. When performance moves in the right direction, the team can celebrate it together instead of discovering the result later in a report.

Periculo already had a naturally competitive culture, whether the team was playing pool in the office or competing at the local gym. Visible performance brought some of that same energy into the working day.

Geckoboard has fueled our friendly competitive nature

Individual performance gives people something immediate to respond to, encouraging them to close tickets and handle requests promptly. The focus remains on helping the wider team keep work moving rather than simply ranking people for the sake of it.

A shared view for better decisions

Periculo’s data still lives in the specialist platforms its teams use every day. Geckoboard makes the most important parts visible together.

Sales can understand its pipeline and improve forecasting. Marketing can see its contribution to growth. Operations can track project delivery, and the wider team can see where the business is succeeding or needs support.

For Cory, this means less time compiling information and a clearer view of where to focus. For the team, it makes performance part of the working day and gives everyone a shared understanding of how Periculo is moving forward.
